Since 2013, Joe’s Yard, Tree + Irrigation has helped Tucson homeowners turn struggling desert yards into outdoor spaces they’re genuinely proud of. We’re a family-owned company with an ISA-certified arborist on staff, and we do the whole yard in-house — landscape design and maintenance, tree and cactus care, and water-smart irrigation. That means one accountable crew instead of juggling five different vendors, one standard of work, and one number to call when something needs attention.

Most of all, it means people who actually understand the Sonoran Desert. We know how Tucson Water’s tiered rates punish an inefficient irrigation system, how a monsoon microburst snaps an over-pruned mesquite, how caliche hardpan defeats a weekend planting project, and how quickly an HOA flags a brown winter lawn. Every plan we build accounts for all of it — so your yard looks great, survives the desert, and doesn’t drain your wallet.

Complete Landscaping
Tree & Irrigation Services in Tucson

Whatever your yard needs, we handle it — and because it’s all under one roof, the design, the trees, the irrigation and the upkeep all work together instead of against each other.

Landscape
Maintenance

Dependable, on-schedule landscape maintenance that keeps your property sharp and HOA-compliant year-round: mowing and edging, fall overseeding for winter color, weed control with properly timed pre-emergent, seasonal cleanups, and trimming. The same crew shows up each visit and knows your yard.

Landscape Design
& Installation

Custom desert and xeriscape design and installation built for Tucson — native plant palettes, decomposed granite, pavers and flagstone, masonry walls, landscape lighting, artificial turf and outdoor living spaces, with efficient irrigation designed in from the start. We design it, install it with our own crews, and hand it off looking the way it was drawn.

Tree & Cactus
Services

ISA-certified arborist tree care for the trees that define a Tucson yard — velvet mesquite, blue and foothills palo verde, ironwood and palms. We trim and prune to ISA standards, reduce crowns without topping, remove hazardous trees and grind stumps, diagnose and treat disease and pests, and plant new trees correctly through caliche. We also remove and relocate cactus, including permitted saguaro work under the Arizona Native Plant Law.

Irrigation
Services

Drip and sprinkler installation, repair and seasonal tune-ups engineered for hard water and desert plants. Our irrigation team designs systems that water deeply and efficiently, fixes leaks and broken heads fast, and programs smart controllers to keep your plants healthy while keeping your bill out of Tucson Water’s top tiers.

Additional
Services

We also handle the jobs that come with desert-property ownership: junk and debris removal and full cleanouts, plus humane pack rat nest removal and proofing to protect your home, irrigation and vehicles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Joe’s Yard handle landscaping, tree work and irrigation, or just one?

All three, in-house. We’re a full-service landscaping, tree and irrigation company, so one crew can design and maintain your yard, care for your trees and cactus, and keep your irrigation running efficiently — without you having to coordinate multiple contractors.

What areas around Tucson do you serve?

Tucson and the surrounding communities, including Oro Valley, Marana, Sahuarita, Green Valley, Catalina Foothills, Vail, Tanque Verde and Corona de Tucson.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Joe’s Yard is fully licensed and insured, with an ISA-certified arborist on staff for tree work.

Do you require a long-term contract?

No. We offer one-time and recurring service without long-term contract traps. Customers stay with us because the work is good.

How much do your services cost?

Pricing depends on the size of your property and the work involved, so we give a firm, free estimate after a quick on-site visit rather than a one-size-fits-all rate. You’ll know the price before any work begins.

Can you keep my yard within my HOA’s standards?

Yes. We work within the design and plant-list standards common to Tucson-area HOAs, from Rancho Vistoso to Rancho Sahuarita, and can address violation notices.

Do you offer free estimates?

Always. Call (520) 367-5975 or request an estimate online and we’ll schedule a free, no-obligation on-site visit.

What’s the best time to take care of tree trimming or overseeding in Tucson?

Trim most desert trees in late spring to early summer, before monsoon winds; overseed Bermuda lawns with winter rye in early-to-mid October. We’ll build the right seasonal schedule for your yard.
